Artist in Residence

My goal in being an artist in residence is to help people to see in a new way.  I believe that if I can teach people how to see, I can teach them how to draw and paint.  I want to give to others what I have been given. I have a gift for engaging students and getting them excited about the creative process.

I have had 27 years of experience teaching art to people of all ages, kindergarten through senior citizens, and people of all ethnic backgrounds, including Sudanese, African American, Hmong, Native American and  others.  I have taught art in the public schools, community education, group homes and in my studio.  I have several years of artist-in-residency experience.  I have also taught a variety of different art mediums.

Just contact me if you are interested in setting up a residency!

Grants are available through the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council.
